Very cool, I'll have to give this a try. I did this today before reading your message. [link] It's kind of similar because of the use of pyramids. I think I'll redo it with the colored lights and see what happens. Thanks for the cool idea :)

:D ...and I'll be glad to answer any questions you may have about using Bryce as well. Always looking to expand the community. :D I've been meaning to to a space-scene tut for a while, I'll try to find the time.

Thanks, I'd really appreciate that. The colorplexity tut turned out pretty cool. I'm going to experiment a lil more before I submit a render though. I'm just now learning what does what in the labs. So any extra help would be really nice. A space scene tut would be awesome cool :) To save time on tuts you might wanna try Fraps [link] to do some video/sound captures and up them to yuotube or your web page. I think that would save a lot of time, since you could just talk about what you're doing as you do it. Of course you'd only want to record the most important parts to save space.

I haven't used Fraps in years lol... I think I prefer a non-video format, but perhaps. :D

Mine comes out extremely washed out. When you group the inner, smaller, rotated triangle, what is its attribute (pos, neg, or neut)? And the attribute of the outer, larger triangle? Were you supposed to be able to see inside the triangle outside the base, or did you have to zoom inside it to see? That's what I had to do.

Yes, you were supposed to go inside. And the idea is to have two outer pyramids set to positive and two inner ones set to negative, then grouped together to create a hollow "double" pyramid you can go inside of.

If the result is too washed out you can do a couple of things -- make the light colors a darker hue of each shade or make the lights weaker overall. There's also some contrast work in PS afterward as well.
